Koko the Bear is the brainchild of Yu-Chen Tseng.
It's a fully illustrated book about a brown bear who is unlike any other. He didn’t feel like he belonged, but eventually learns his uniqueness is what makes him who he is.
It's based on Yu-Chen's experience growing up in Canada,
"I wasn’t sure if I would fit in because of my ethnicity. I then came to realize that my ethnicity is what makes me who I am today. This book shares a message - that it’s okay to be different. It’s what makes you, you!"
Koko the Bear was brought to life by 239 people on Kickstarter! You can purchase a copy HERE.
